Olympic Skateboarding
Tony Larson at The Art Dump pointed out a story about Skateboarding being in the 2012 Olympics.
The IOC does not recognize an international skateboarding federation, so the sport would first need to be adopted as a discipline under the UCI umbrella. After that, the UCI could make a formal proposal to the IOC for its inclusion in the Olympics.
We like the words Skateboarding as a Discipline.

Every once in a while something gets sent to us that isn’t Skateboard related and we tend to completely ignore them. This time we couldn’t help but introduce you to the Sit-N-Skate.
I have created and patented an innovative street toy that I believe would be a profitable addition to your product line. How nice of the etnies skatepark of Lake Forest, CA to let us know what’s up. If mandatory full pads and beautiful steel bars caging you in weren’t enough, they just announced more fun stuff coming in 2007. Time to have a nice birthday party:
Birthday Party Packages – The Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest is proud to offer three birthday party packages. Each package is designed to best suit each party’s needs. All Packages are for up to 10 participants. Each additional child will cost $20 up to a maximum of 20 participants. Each party will last for 2 hours. Party times availible [sic] are afternoons from 3pm-6pm or on weekends from 10am-6pm. Reservations are required at least one week in advance. A $100 security deposit is also required when making a reservation. Cancellation policy 72 hour advancced [sic] notice or loss of depsoit [sic].
